Job Description
Tower Electrical Essex is seeking an experienced electrical professional to lead our estimating and operational delivery. This is a hybrid role suited to someone who can confidently meet clients, price work, manage subcontractor packages, and provide day-to-day support to our project teams while maintaining compliance standards required for our electrical accreditation.
Key Responsibilities
Meet clients, understand requirements, attend surveys, and provide professional electrical advice.
Price works from enquiry through to order: take-offs, estimates, quotations, and tenders.
Oversee day-to-day workflow and performance of the Electrical Project Manager(s).
Prepare subcontractor tender packages/scopes, obtain and assess returns, negotiate and place orders.
Manage variations and commercial control: raise orders, track changes, and support valuations.
Provide technical guidance to site teams to ensure safe, compliant, efficient delivery.
Maintain standards for quality, documentation, and compliance across projects.
Act as Nominated Qualified Supervisor (NICQS) and support ongoing accreditation requirements.
Essential Experience / Requirements
Proven electrical estimating experience and strong commercial awareness.
Operational/project oversight experience (managing programmes, people, and subcontractors).
Confident client-facing communicator with strong organisation and decision-making.
Strong working knowledge of electrical regulations and best practice (including BS 7671).
Level 3 Electrical qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
Suitable to act as our NICQS (or able to satisfy requirements quickly).
Full UK driving licence.

The work is very varied from new developments to railway station projects over the East Anglia area.
You must be able to work well within a team and be punctual, hard working, reliable, presentable and respectable, with an extremely high quality of work and pride in what you do.
Our work hours are 7.30am to 4.30pm. Predominantly Monday - Friday but will require evening and weekend working for some contracts, at a higher rate of pay.

- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction
- Strong understanding of cost reporting, subcontractor management, and procurement
- Experience working with JCT and/or NEC forms of contract
