Project Overview
This project involved an insurance refurbishment following a small fire originating in the kitchen area, which caused significant smoke damage to both the restaurant and kitchen.
Tower Construction attended site within days of the incident to support the client with early-stage coordination and scoping, ensuring all necessary works were clearly identified, costed and approved by the appointed loss adjuster. Working closely with all stakeholders, we developed a practical recovery plan focused on safe delivery, minimal disruption and a swift return to full operation.
The refurbishment not only restored the affected areas but enhanced the overall finish and function of the restaurant, delivering an improved environment that exceeded the pre-incident condition.
Key Challenges
A key challenge was delivering the works within a live operational building, with businesses continuing to trade throughout and occupied domestic properties located above.
This required careful planning, strict control of noise and dust, and a well-managed programme ensuring safety and access were maintained at all times while keeping disruption to a minimum.
Added Value
Tower Construction added value by designing and manufacturing a range of bespoke fixtures and furniture on-site, enabling faster turnaround times and a high-quality finish that aligned perfectly with the restaurant’s aesthetic.
By managing procurement efficiently and producing key elements in-house, we helped reduce lead times and supported a rapid programme allowing the restaurant to return to full service as quickly as possible.
